Fire Code

Williamson County ESD 6 Fire/Rescue falls under the Williamson County Fire Code (2018 International Fire Code with Local Amendments) https://www.wilcotx.gov/DocumentCenter/View/1950/Williamson-County-Fire-Code-PDF?bidId=

Williamson County Fire Marshal Office handles all plans and permit reviews. Please contact the Fire Marshal for questions related to these items.

Outdoor Burning

Outdoor burning is allowed within Williamson County ESD No. 6, except when there is COUNTYWIDE BURN BAN. Burning of trash is not allowed where trash collection services are available. Burning of trees, grass, leaves, branch trimmings and other plant growth is allowed under outdoor burning. No permit is required, however the community member must contact Williamson County Communications at (512) 864-8282. Press Option 1, then press Option 1 again.

Outdoor burning must be attended at all times. There must be a readily accessible water source for extinguishment, such as a garden hose connected to a water source. All outdoor burning MUST be extinguished before dark.
