Williamson County ESD6 Fire Rescue Requirements

Williamson County ESD 6 Fire/Rescue is always in need of new members who wish to actively participate as firefighters, emergency medical technicians, or in a non-operational capacity in an administrative capacity.

• 18 years of age or older

• Live within 15 minutes from the Williamson County

• ESD 6 Fire/Rescue Dept. (Weir, TX)

• High school graduate or equivalent

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to carry out responsibilities and provide good communications in a calm, positive and professional manner under emergency conditions

• Pass background check

• Pass District Fire Fighter Agility test

Upon successful completion and verification of all the above, you will have a recruitment committee interview to get a better understanding of training necessary for active participation within Williamson County ESD 6 Fire/Rescue.

You will also be given a copy of the department’s policy manual, which outlines the guidelines that need to be met as a member of the department.
